So how's everyone's summer going so far? Mine rocks, even though i'm not really going anywhere special.
Last night, or rather this morning was the most fun I have ever had in a long time. Definately the most exhillerating! Thanks Catherine!

This summer Im taking classes at SFAcademy - Intro to Digital Design and Figure Drawing.
The Digital Design class is really fun, we learn how to do stuff on Illustrator and Photoshop.  I met two really cool people- Garrick and Andrea.  Garrick is from LA and Andrea is from SF.  We have to design a magazine cover, table of contents and a full page spread.  Fun! I'm really excited. This is definately help for yearbook and vise versa. 

Figure Drawing is kinda weird.  You draw naked people for 2-something hours straight. I guess i'm kinda getting used to it.  I have trouble getting down the whole figure with shading and porportion right before the time ends.  Hopefully this helps me on my portfolio.

So... why am i taking all these classes, aside from the 3-days a week spent at Studio of Arts? I WANNA GO TO RISD!  Its my dream.  If i make it into RISD and catherine makes it into Brown, we can totally live together in an apartment in Providence. ahh.... sounds soo fun.  That's not the only reason I want to go to RISD- to tell you the truth I'm kinda terrified of the school cuz its so hardcore.  I really want to get in cuz its the best school- it'll definately help me find an awesome job, and I'll be spending 4 years studying art. What could possibly be more wonderful than that? 
Well... actually, if i don't make it into RISD, i go to SJSU.  I hate all the UCs cuz i hate the 1:300 ratio of teacher to student at the UCs. States are much more focused and fun too! plus, you can actually speak to your teacher on a academic and learning level to a personal level too.  I like that. 
The dilema- i love how SJSU is a 5 year program, but still- it's a state school. I haven't spent the past 3 years working my butt off only to say, "oh, okay" i'll just go to SJSU and only spend at max like 2 hours on the application.  I feel like all my hard work should not be wasted- thus my passion to attend RISD, the best art school for undergrads in the country. 

well... we'll see what happens. Hopefully i can develop a kick-ass portfolio in time....

happy christmas everybody! lots has happened this year.... though i should probably save my year recap for new years, but u never know if i'm gonna be back or not.... or be back in like 4 months later.

soo.... summer.... hmmm...
well not much has been going on.
I started my classes at SF Academy Art. they are pretty good classes. I hope i'll benifit from them. I'm taking Advertising design and Graphic Design. I think i like my advertising class the best. it's fun trying to come up with good advertisments.

I think social wise- summer sucks.
i haven't gone anywhere yet. everyone is leaving me for trips and classes and junk and i'm stuck here doing nothing 3 days a week.

if u got any cool plans let me know. i'm not busy on tues morn, wed, fri, sun.

things i have to do during summer:
learn stick shift
start studying for SATs
finish my APUSH 16 ch. reading
go to the beach w/ my beach gurlies and guys?
go to a few parties w. friends
paint pic for Mrs. Wang
develop portfolio
run more
go to church
hang w. friends or aquatinces
read HP4, 5, 6
